The Details

Brief

I was recommended by a customer to help this couple to list plants from their garden that they wanted uprooted and re-planted in the garden their new house.
The garden of the new house was in a sad state, neglected shrubs, trees and plants. There was an unwanted greenhouse and a treehouse painted bright red at the rear boundary that looked like a fire engine.

Solution

I had to use just about every skill I have got to get the new garden back under control! The greenhouse went and a whole new planting area was created. Shrubs from the old house (beloved ones at that) went in and survived the upheaval.

The huge Wisterias had not been pruned for years – it took a couple of years to get them back to flowering the way they should – worth the effort though.

The tree house was re-stained a very dark brown – Cuprinol Duck’s Back in Forest Oak – so it blended in naturally.

It was great fun to do this job and the results are very satisfying to see.

I still maintain the Wisterias – even though the responsibility makes me fret!
