It was my bad experiences with the 60 minute makeover brigade of landscapers (those that promise an instant fix only for it to need repeating) that first led me to follow my heart and my love of plants, abandon the corporate rat race and get my horticultural and bricklaying qualifications.
Now the joy of a piece of bespoke brickwork or well laid patio is only exceeded by the joy of well positioned and paired plants thriving in an environment I have helped to create.

Our customers may not always be right, but they are never wrong! I am happy to discuss at length with my clients their requirements and offer suggestions that they may not have thought of based on my experience of working on gardens as diverse as council houses to country estates. No job is ever signed off until there is a smile of satisfaction on their faces and we are happy with it.
I believe in being totally honest with my clients and never take a job just for the money. We have to believe that what they want is achievable at a reasonable cost. When we give an estimate, we stand by it, unless, of course, there are entirely unforeseen circumstances – like finding an underground steam beneath a planned patio for instance!
All the plants we supply are from the best sources mostly from the suppliers of the better garden centres, with the difference that mine are handpicked and do not come with an extravagant markup.
To me, the plants are almost as important as customers. We have to be happy that they are in the right place and will thrive. Therefore, we always suggest an after-care plan for the client. Equally, I’m glad to go back and do the maintenance (for a small fee) myself.
I do not claim to be able to do everything – just most- in a garden, but I have a list of contacts who we can call upon and who share my principles. Not least among these is regular assistant Perry (a fully qualified tree surgeon) and his assistant Bradley, who are not only very skilful but possessed of a tremendous work ethic and desire for customer satisfaction.
