The Details

Brief

I was asked to remove two long lines of battered concrete which formed the “driveway” and replace with gravel.  Also to put in new paving to the front door.

My customer wanted a tidy and reasonably priced finish that was easy to maintain.

Beyond the driveway gates, there was a huge drainage problem that needed attention as it had been flooding for years after heavy rainfall.

The Solution

The concrete came up fairly easily thankfully!  I engaged the services of a grab lorry to remove the huge pile of arisings as this is a cheaper option using skips as these are weight limited.

We laid new buff textured slabs to the front door which also created a good edging to stop the new gravel from travelling.

The drainage issue was solved by removing weeds are debris that were growing in the gully and covering with gravel. It works very well now.

We were pleased with the results!
